At the next Delhi Auto Expo, Toyota Motor just released the Innova HyCross in India, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 18.30 lakh. While the Innova HyCross is already a stylish MPV, a digital artist has enhanced it with a sporty TRD kit. The Innova HyCross is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 171 bhp and 205 Nm of peak torque, mated to a CVT. A TNGA 2.0-litre four-cylinder hybrid petrol engine with an electric motor is also included. Its powerful hybrid mill has a total power output of 183 horsepower and is connected to an e-CVT.
The Innova Hycross’s front end is divided into two sections: a huge hexagonal grille with a broad headlight with two L-shaped inserts that house the primary light units, and triangular-shaped air dam components. The fog lights are housed in triangular housings beneath the triangle-shaped air dam sections. Moving up, the bonnet appears to have considerably more pronounced crease lines, which are followed by the rear doors and fenders.
The panoramic sunroof, a first for an Innova, is one of the new features. This one element exemplifies Toyota’s intention to present the Innova Hycross as a more premium vehicle aimed at a more discerning consumer. The new MUV also ditches the previous generation’s ladder-on-frame chassis in favour of a lightweight monocoque chassis, which improves handling, stability, and fuel efficiency.

Moving on to the inside, the Hycross has ventilated front seats, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, an electric-powered driver seat with memory function, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and second-row Ottoman seats. In addition to these amenities, the Hycross is the first Toyota vehicle in India to include Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and front collision prevention. These amenities, as well as the enhanced interior area, are aimed at a more affluent consumer than the Carnival has hitherto serviced.
The Toyota Innova Hycross G-SLF 7 STR petrol model is priced at 18.30 Lakh. It has an official mileage of 16.13 kmpl. The engine in this G-SLF 7 STR model produces 173 bhp @ 6600 rpm and 209 Nm @ 4500 rpm of maximum power and torque. Toyota Innova Hycross G-SLF 7 STR is available in seven colours: Blackish Ageha Glass Flake, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Attitude Black Mica, Silver Metallic, Avant-garde Bronze Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Super White.
