Toyota Crown 2023: Launch Date, Specifications, Price, Updates 2022: The all-new Toyota Crown for 2023 adds dramatic flair to the top of the Toyota sedan lineup with a look that is unique for its class. It is a vehicle that is prepared to stand out from the crowd thanks to its large wheels, flowing form, and distinctive paint options. The Toyota Crown offers plenty of elegance, standard AWD for increased security, and two electric Toyota engine options, including the first-ever Hybrid MAX system.

The 2023 Toyota Crown is brand-new for the United States and has undergone a redesign for its home market of Japan, where it has long been sold as a premium sedan. The Crown’s body is shaped like a fastback sedan, but the cladding on the lower body and around the wheel cutouts gives it some SUV-like characteristics. It isn’t at all trail-ready; in terms of ground clearance, it’s just a car. The design is quite off-putting because to the high shoulder line and large roof, although it almost seems graceful from the sculpted sides. However, the nose has a large grille that is somewhat overbites and was influenced by the face of the Toyota Venza.

• The front seats in the Toyota Crown are heated as standard and have three levels of heat adjustment. Standard heated rear and ventilated front seats are added to  and ventilated front seats are added to the list of comfort pleasures in the Limited and Platinum trim levels. With Softex and black woven fabric upholstery on the XLE and leather seats as standard on the Limited and Platinum grades, the seats provide both comfort and flair.

• When it comes to charging electronics, the Toyota Crown has both the driver and the passengers covered. A vertical-style wireless Qi charger with improved space economy is standard on the driver’s side. Inside the console is a regular USB-Type A port as well as a 12V charging port. On the passenger side, a separate twin USB-Type C terminal is also standard, with the insertion port purposefully pointed toward the passenger seat. Two USB-Type C ports are included as standard for backseat passengers.

• The Platinum grade includes a Panoramic Picture Monitor as standard equipment, which offers a 360-degree overhead view of the area around the vehicle and improves external visibility. On the Limited grade, the Panoramic View Monitor is a part of the Advanced Tech Package. Projected paths and dynamic gridlines are aspects of the typical backup camera. The Limited and Platinum both include a Smart Key System that operates on all four doors as standard equipment for further convenience.

• The 6-speaker sound system in the XLE grade offers clear, strong sound for all genres of music. Standard equipment on Limited and Platinum models is an 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio System with a rear subwoofer and an audiophile-grade 8-channel amplifier. It was acoustically tailored to the Toyota Crown’s special car features.

• Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (TSS 3.0), which features improvements made possible by system sensors with increased detection capability, is a standard feature on all Toyota Crown grades. In certain circumstances, the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection can identify motorcycle riders and guardrails. The technology is intended to detect specific forward or lateral oncoming vehicles when making a turn or approaching an intersection and, in some circumstances, to deliver audio/visual alerts and automatic braking.

• The Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), which is intended to help detect and warn you of vehicles approaching or positioned in the adjacent lanes, and the Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), which helps detect vehicles approaching from either side while backing out and alerts you with a visual and audible warning, are additional standard safety features on the Crown in addition to the TSS 3.0 system.

Toyota modifies the Crown’s sheet metal to elevate the seat height by 4.0 inches. Because it doesn’t sit any higher off the ground than a standard car, some compromises must be made.
