Netflix Original Series List
Archive 81
If you’re one of the many disturbing podcast junkies or cult narrative super fans, Archive 81 is the perfect watch for you. When an archivist is tasked with recovering a series of damaged tapes, he soon discovers that the recordings contain evidence of a satanic cult. As he works to uncover the truth, he must also fight against being drawn in himself.
After Life
Fans of this dark comedy’s final season, which premiered in January, may have a difficult time saying goodbye. Tony, a widower who must navigate life after losing his wife, is played by Ricky Gervais, who also writes and directs the episodes. In the most recent batch of episodes, Tony embarks on a new grieving journey as he deals with the death of his father.
Ozark
Most of us would never have guessed that Jason Bateman would star in the next nail-biting thriller on television. (Not all predictions were incorrect.) In the fourth and final season of Ozark, America’s favourite criminal couple faced the end of their scheming this spring. At least, on Netflix. It’s unclear what happened in the finale.
Inventing Anna
As the Internet is constantly reminding us, “they despise seeing a girlboss win.” This is especially true if the girlboss is a fraudster. No, we’re not talking about Elizabeth Holmes; we’re talking about Anna Delvey, New York’s favourite fake heiress, whose life of glamour and grand larceny took a dramatic turn when she was arrested in 2017. Julia Garner, Anna Chlumsky, and Laverne Cox star in the scandalous Shondaland adaptation, which is based on Jessica Pressler’s viral exposé for The Cut.
Love Is Blind
The new season followed the previous season’s format, in which contestants got to know one another without being able to see each other, but don’t worry: there are plenty of new twists this season.
Vikings: Valhalla
Whether you’re a history buff or only know the name Leif Erickson from that Spongebob episode, Vikings: Valhalla is a guaranteed thriller. The series depicts some of the most famous Norsemen as they raid across Europe, tracking their legacies.
Bridgerton
Bridgerton is back for Season Two. And, thankfully, we don’t have to rely on Lady Whistledown’s gossip to find out what the episodes are about. This season centres on Anthony Bridgerton, the eldest son who has become more concerned with duty than with love.
Stranger Things 4
Stranger Things returns with its fourth season after a three-year hiatus. Eleven is adjusting to a new home in California in the new episodes, wistfully writing to Mike about their spring break reunion. What do you think? Everything goes to s**. With explosions, creepy dolls, and a terrifying new villain, the sabbatical was anything but relaxing.
The Umbrella Academy
The third season of the hit time travel superhero series The Umbrella Academy, based on Gerard Way’s comic strips, premiered in 2022. The new season, as teased at the end of the second batch of episodes, will place a strong emphasis on the Sparrow Academy, a new collective formed by an error made by the Umbrella Academy while time travelling.
Russian Doll
The supernatural dramedy follows Natasha Lyonne’s character Nadia, whose death at her 36th birthday party sends her into a never-ending loop of reliving her final day. The second season didn’t quite live up to the high expectations that were placed on it, but we’ll take a hang with Lyonne any day.
