The Sandman Netflix, Review, Cast, Story, 2022 Release Date and Trailer:
“The Sandman” never finds its centre, like a massive hourglass with two unstable ends. Adapted by Neil Gaiman from his award-winning comic books (along with David S. Goyer and Allan Heinberg).
The Netflix series’ mission is to introduce the streaming service’s vast (but somewhat diminishing) audience to its sophisticated fantasy world, which is packed with mythological individuals who control and wander their respective worlds while existing inside a common, ever-expanding cosmos.
There’s a lot riding on this lengthy adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s renowned comic book, but the excellent news is that this dramatic and engaging series is the stuff of dreams. If you’ve never read the comics before, you’re in for a treat since you can experience the series fresh, devoid of your memories and vision of the original.
You’ll understand if you’ve read the comics…. Because the original Sandman is such a complex and perplexing work, each reader will have a unique experience with it, and it will be fascinating to see how each viewer reacts to the TV version.
In the series, Dream of the Endless is kidnapped by a human warlock and held imprisoned for 100 years by Allan Heinberg, David Goyer, and Gaiman himself. He escapes and returns to his kingdom, The Dreaming, to heal and realign himself, resulting in personal growth and stronger bonds with his people and siblings.

Critic View on The Sandman:
The drama, based on Neil Gaiman’s iconic comic novel of the same name, was long thought to be unfilmable. However, the rush of reviews that have preceded the show’s launch indicate that it is not only worth watching, but also some of the best television of the year.
Sandman stars Tom Sturridge, Boyd Holbrook, Jenna Coleman, and Gwendoline Christie, among others.
According to Netflix, the plot of The Sandman is as follows: “After years of captivity, Morpheus – the King of Dreams – goes on a quest across realms to collect what was stolen from him and restore his power.”
The series foreshadows a future with enough subtle alterations that veteran fans won’t know what to expect at every turn, and it captures every ounce of optimism that this magnificent franchise is designed to. It’s a delight to see Dream learn about the kindness of people via Death and the tough mortals he surrounds himself with.
Underneath all of the gloom, brooding, and dark fantasy themes is a narrative about one of the most powerful animals on the planet discovering how confusing, messy, cruel, loving, and selfless humans can be. That is the actual core of The Sandman, like Fiddler’s Green to the Dreaming. And it’s on full show here, with all the love and affection that comes with a decades-long adaptation.
