Tesla Roadster 2023: Specs, Price, engine and more

Tesla Roadster 2023: It’s been a decade since the first Tesla Roadster was manufactured. The second-generation Tesla Roadster, like the Cybertruck, has been known for some time, but both are still missing in action. Still, when it does arrive, the Roadster promises to be a record-breaking model and an improvement over its predecessor in every way. If Elon Musk’s suggested timelines are correct, this will be Tesla’s first model to enter a second generation. According to the claims, the new Tesla Roadster will have a 0-60 time of 1.9 seconds, a top speed of over 250 mph, and a 620-mile range. If all of those numbers are met in the real world, it will be unbeatable.

The price of the 2023 Tesla Roadster is as surprising as its performance. Simply reserving one of these vehicles will set you back $50,000. Tesla did not have a base price published on its website at the time of writing, but previous indications suggest that the Tesla Roadster will start at $200,000 for the base model and go up to $250,000 for a limited Founders Series model.

Because electric sports cars are uncommon, identifying competitors for the 2023 Roadster in the United States will be difficult. There are a few incredibly powerful cars with excellent mpg (or MPGe) ratings for comparable money. The Acura NSX Type S hybrid is an interesting alternative at around $30,000 less, but it is on its way out. The fantastic Audi RS e-tron GT is even cheaper, but it’s a more luxurious GT. Another hybrid supercar, the 671-hp McLaren Artura, could tempt you away from the Tesla. However, none of these vehicles are as quick as the Tesla. You’d have to look at the $2,400,000 Rimac Nevera to find something that can match those claims.

The all-wheel-drive vehicle is expected to be equipped with three electric motors, one in the front and two in the back. The Tesla Roadster has been dubbed the world’s fastest car. Remember that the Model S Plaid has three motors and produces 1,020 horsepower, so the Roadster should be able to do the same. Tesla has released a few specifications, including a wheel torque of 10,000 Nm (7,375 lb-ft).

The performance figures would have been hard to believe if the Model S Plaid hadn’t already been available. Tesla claims that the Roadster will reach 60 mph in 1.9 seconds, 100 mph in 4.2 seconds, and the quarter mile in 8.8 seconds. The top speed will be over 250 mph, which is quite a feat for an EV.
