Tesla Model Y (2022): Launch Date, Specifications, Price, Review 2022

Tesla Model Y (2022): Launch Date, Specifications, Price, Review 2022: In this blog we will be talking in detail about the launch from Tesla i.e. The Tesla Model Y attempted to capitalise on the Model 3’s red-hot popularity, but the all-electric crossover is more fizzle than sizzle. The 2022 Model Y feels like a sloppy attempt to cater to the SUV-buying masses, whereas the Model 3 masters its purpose with dance-like handling and great range.

Its handling is less engaging than the 3’s, and its cabin, while mostly carried over from the sedan, doesn’t do enough to separate itself, exacerbating our critique of both its fit-and-finish and the issues that the all-digital environment generates.

The Model Y series no longer features a low-cost Standard Range variant. No big deal; the Model Y’s Long Range and Performance trims are more appealing than the Standard Range trim. We were able to experience an all-wheel-drive Long Range thanks to a kind Car and Driver reader, which raced from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, just 0.4 second slower than our long-term Model 3 sedan. In our tests, the Performance model accelerated to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.

Tesla Model Y (2022) Summary

Tesla is planning some minor improvements to the Model Y for 2022. These include a new, lighter 12-volt lithium-ion battery (which replaces the old lead-acid battery) and laminated rear windows to improve noise insulation. However, more dramatic modifications are expected for the Y. Tesla may be modifying the architecture of the Y’s primary battery pack to the 4680 structurally integrated design. It’s unclear how this new battery pack will affect the Y’s capability or performance, but we’ll update this area when we discover more.

While Tesla’s enrollment saloon is an excellent electric vehicle, the company is well aware that it is not for everyone. Its small cargo opening, for example, isn’t ideal for families, and it isn’t an SUV, which turns off many purchasers.
