With Model S prices starting at more than $90,000, buyers would be justified in expecting some level of luxury inside the vehicle. The cabin atmosphere is adequate, but not as plush as that of our favourites, the Mercedes-Benz E-class and the Volvo S90. The sloped roofline of the Model S cleverly conceals a rear liftgate that opens to reveal a massive 26-cubic-foot trunk.
We were able to store eight carry-on-size cases without having to fold down the back seats. A large underfloor bin in the rear cargo area compensates for the lack of small-item cubby stowage throughout the interior, particularly in the back seat.
