The Hindi film industry has recently been in the news for all the wrong reasons. As a popular singer-musician Rahul Jain has been accused of rape.
Rahul Jain is a singer and composer best known for his cover versions of popular Hindi songs. And original tracks in several films. Jain is accused of raping a woman who works in the entertainment industry as a costume stylist.
According to the woman, Jain raped her in his Mumbai apartment. Rahul Jain has categorically denied the allegations against him, calling them “false and baseless.”

The woman filed a complaint with the Oshiwara police station and described the incident in detail. She stated that Rahul messaged her on the social media app Instagram and expressed his appreciation for her work.
He invited her to his apartment in Andheri, a Mumbai suburb, and assured her that she would be his costume designer. On August 11, the complainant met Rahul at his apartment in Andheri.
According to the complainant, Jain invited her to his bedroom so he could show her some of his belongings before raped her.
The complainant went on to say that she tried but failed to resist Jain’s advances. He has also attempted to destroy evidence, according to her.
Police have filed a FIR against the woman under Indian Penal Code sections 376 (Punishment for rape), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation), and 323 (Punishment for voluntary causing harm). Jain has not yet been arrested.
When the media contacted Jain for comment, he stated that he had never met the woman who had filed a FIR against him.
According to the singer, the complainant may be enlisting the assistance of a woman who previously attempted to frame him on similar charges.
