Mercedes-Benz EQS 580: Launching Soon, Specifications, Price, Updates: Mercedes-Benz India has publicly revealed that the EQS 580 4MATIC, the second edition of the EQS premium electric car, would be formally introduced on September 30. Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 is built at Chakan, Pune. It should be noted that interested buyers can reserve their autos online. For Rs 25 lakh, they may book online or through the brand’s dealerships.
The EQS 580 4Matic is not expected to be as sharply designed as the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53. The alterations will be to the front blanked-out ‘grille,’ which will now hold many small lighted three-pointed stars instead of the AMG version’s horizontal slats. The front and rear bumpers will be somewhat different, as will the 20-inch alloy wheels on the India-spec EQS 580 4Matic. The EQS 580 is believed to include a 56-inch ‘Hyperscreen’ on the inside, and Mercedes-Benz is expected to offer several interior colour and trim options for the India-spec variant. On September 30, Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, will drive the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC off the manufacturing line at the brand’s factory in Chakan, Pune. The brand will hasten car delivery to existing Mercedes-Benz customers. The local assembly is projected to reduce the price by around Rs 50-60 lakh when compared to the AMG model, which is priced at Rs 2.45 crore (ex-showroom).
