Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest automaker, displayed its latest premium compact SUV, the Fronx, at the Auto Expo 2023. Bookings for the vehicle have begun for a nominal fee of Rs 11,000 each. The Fronx will be available in five different variants: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. Prices for each variant are expected to be announced in the coming days.
Customers can select from six monotone and three dual-tone colour schemes. Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Grandeur Grey, Earthen Brown, Opulent Red, and Splendid Silver are among the monotone colour options. Specs
Exterior
The Fronx is a quirky-looking SUV that measures under four metres and is based on the brand’s Heartect platform. It has a sporty and stylish design, with the front influenced by the Grand Vitara. It has a coupe-like C-pillar in profile. The SUV then gets an LED strip running across the width of the vehicle, along with signature LED block tail lights.
Arctic White, Earthen Brown, Opulent Red, and Splendid Silver are among the five mono-tone and three dual-tone colours available for the SUV.
Interior
The interior is similar to that of the new Maruti models. It has a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charger, a flat-bottom steering wheel, HUD, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, six airbags, and other features. The Fronx is a compact SUV with five seats.
Engine
The SUV has two engine options under the hood. Maruti is reintroducing the 1.0-litre booster jet engine, which produces 99bhp and 147Nm of torque, as well as the familiar 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine, which produces 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. There are three transmission options: a five-speed manual, a torque converter with six speeds, and AMT.
