Lotus Evija Fittipaldi Edition: Launching Date, Specifications, Price, Updates: The magnificent Lotus Evija hypercar, the most powerful production vehicle in the world, now offers even greater exclusivity and appeal. Lotus has launched the Evija Fittipaldi, a tribute to the legendary greatest car-and-driver combinations in Formula 1 history, as part of its philosophy of using the past to improve the present.
The winning Lotus Type 72 F1 single-legendary seater’s John Player Special livery was honoured by having the Evija’s exterior painted black with hand-painted gold stripes. The alloy wheels, brake callipers, and unique carbon and gold Lotus logo at the front all have a two-tone appearance. Emerson Fittipaldi’s name and his number 8 sticker are displayed on the profile of a sequence of decals on the active rear wing that honour the F1 victories in the 1972 season.

Director of Lotus Advanced Performance Simon Lane stated: “The word “legend” is misused a lot, but this concept brought together all the Emerson Fittipaldi race vehicle, the Type 72, the Lotus Evija hypercar, and our brand’s storied Formula 1 past. Without a doubt, there are four real legends working together to create a very unique hypercar and a world premiere that was truly a “pinch yourself” moment.” “Production of the Evija has started in Hethel,” he continued, “and these eight cars represent a very special celebration of this crucial period in our history.”
The Lotus Evija Fittipaldi’s customised features begin with its distinctive paint finish, which includes its name inscribed on the bodywork in gold writing to the side of the rear windshield. It is complemented with black and gold brake callipers and ‘Type 72’ wheels with anodized centre lock surrounds that are red on the left side of the automobile and green on the right. On the active rear wing are decals honouring the Type 72’s achievements in races throughout the 1972 season, and a number 8 has been painted on the B-pillar. Throughout the 1972 racing season, Fittipaldi competed with that car’s number, including for his victory at the British Grand Prix.
