This year, Aviator Reserve and Black Label versions may be purchased with a new Jet aesthetic option, which replaces much of the SUV’s external chrome trim with black pieces and replaces the plastic lower cladding and wheel surrounds with body-colored ones. The Grand Touring plug-in hybrid now has an Illumination package that comprises adaptive pixel LED headlights, unique LED daytime running lights, an illuminated Lincoln emblem in the grille, and LED fog lamps as an option.
The 400-hp twin-turbo V-6 engine inside the Lincoln Aviator is one of the most powerful base engines in the mid-size luxury SUV class. The refined 3.0-liter V-6 engine pairs with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic gearbox to provide both calm cruising and commanding acceleration. Instead of a more powerful V-8 engine, Lincoln provides a plug-in hybrid vehicle called the Aviator Grand Touring. The Grand Touring adds a 100-hp electric engine and a 13.6-kWh battery to the normal Aviator’s V-6 and 10-speed transmission.
