On Thursday, Maruti Suzuki introduced the Jimny 5-door SUV at the Auto Expo 2023. By the middle of 2023, the SUV will start to be sold in this nation. Bookings for this vehicle, which is built in India at the automaker’s Gurugram plant, are now available.
Maruti Jimny 5-door: Exterior
The Maruti Jimny 5-door receives an extended wheelbase, two extra doors, and a redesigned rear quarter. The Jimny has straight pillars, a smooth surface, a grille with slats, round headlamps, big off-road tyres, and wide wheel arches. Its dimensions are 3,985mm in length, 2,590mm in wheelbase, 1,645mm in width, and 1,720mm in height.
The newly created rear doors are styled after the Jimny’s box-like shape. It receives a roof with a striking black shade. The SUV has bumper-mounted tail lamps, a door-mounted tyre with a black covering, and 15-inch alloy wheels with 195/80 section tyres.

The dashboard of the Maruti Jimny 5-door is completely black with a 9-inch touchscreen in the middle. On the passenger side, it has a grab hold mounted on the dashboard and fake exposed bolts to give it a tough look. The Jimny has plenty of intelligent storage compartments, a row of toggle switches on the centre console, and a 4×4 gear lever.
Speaking of features, the Jimny includes an Arkamys audio system in addition to wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the automaker’s SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system. Six airbags, ESP with hill hold assist, hill descent control, a rearview camera, and ABS with EBD are all included in the SUV’s safety features.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door : Engine
The K15B engine in the Maruti Jimny 5-door is coupled to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It has a 105 horsepower and a peak torque of 134 Nm. It also receives the mild hybrid technology from Maruti. By the middle of July, Maruti Suzuki will probably reveal the Jimny’s price. This SUV’s price in India is anticipated to be around 12 lakh rupees (ex-showroom), competing with the 5-door Mahindra Thar and the 5-door Force Gurkha.
