Jeep will bring the 2022 Grand Cherokee to India in late 2022, possibly around the October holiday season. It will be a locally assembled model, so we anticipate it will be less expensive than its predecessor, which was imported as a completely built up (CBU) model.
In India, we’ll get the 2-litre turbo-petrol variant. The engine will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an advanced Quadra-Trac I 4×4 system. It will also have Jeep’s Selec-Terrain traction management system, an electronically disengaging sway bar, and a transfer case that manages power distribution automatically.
Premium features will include a 16-way powered driver’s seat, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, and ventilated seats. A 10-inch colour head-up display (HUD) and a 10.1-inch UConnect 5 infotainment screen are also included, with an optional dashboard-mounted infotainment screen for the front passenger.
