India has recorded nearly 20,000 Covid cases in the last 24 hours, with the active count falling to 1,36,478.

New Delhi Report: With 19,893 new coronavirus infections reported in a single day. India’s total number of COVID-19 cases rose to 4,40,87,037. While active cases fell to 1,36,478, according to data updated on Thursday by the Union Health Ministry.

The death toll has risen to 5,26,530, with 53 new fatalities

According to the ministry, active cases account for 0.31 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.50 percent.

In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has decreased by 579 cases.

According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was 4.94 percent, and the weekly positivity rate was 4.64 percent.

The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,34,24,029, with a case fatality rate of 1.19 percent.

Covid cases in Indian States

So far, 205.22 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the nationwide vaccination drive, according to the ministry. On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 tally surpassed 20 lakh, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakhs on September 5. And 50 lakhs on September 16. It surpassed 60 lakhs on September 28, 70 lakhs on October 11, 80 lakhs on October 29. And 90 lakhs on November 20, and one crore on December 1.

Last year, the country passed the two-crore mark on May 4 and the three-crore mark on June 23. On January 25, this year, it surpassed the four-billion-dollar mark.

In Maharashtra seven people were killed, five in Delhi, four in Assam, Himachal Pradesh, and West Bengal three in Punjab and Uttarakhand, two in Karnataka, and one each in Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh. In addition, 15 deaths have been reconciled by Kerala in accordance with the Indian Council of Medical Research guidelines
