Honda Civic type r (2023): Launch Date, Specifications, Price, Review 2022: In this blog we will be talking in detail about the launch from Honda i.e. The 2021 Honda Civic Type R is a wonderfully fun and totally practical four-door hatchback despite its charmingly childish design. The Type R is not only the fastest Honda Civic, but also one of the fastest sport compacts, thanks to a 306-hp turbocharged four-cylinder and a six-speed manual transmission (the only gearbox offered).
Honda has nearly eliminated the notorious torque steer that plagues strong front-drive cars, while still providing chatty steering, superb cornering grip, and a surprisingly smooth ride. Honda provides a Limited Edition Type R for 2021 that lives up to its moniker, since just 1000 examples will be produced (600 of which are designated for U.S. customers). This model will only be available in Phoenix Yellow Pearl.
It will include a gloss-black top panel, outside mirrors, and a hood scoop. Most notably, the Limited Edition is designed to improve the Type R’s efficiency by losing 38 pounds and replacing the tyres with stickier Michelin Sport Cup 2s. Honda also claims that the steering & damper characteristics have been retuned to fit with the particular wheel-and-tire combo.

Honda Civic type r (2023) Summary
Honda Civic brand enjoys a loyal fanbase all around the world, including in India. This is despite the fact that the company only sold one model (the eighth) of this sedan in India between 2006 and 2012. After more than 6 years, Honda has brought the Civic back to life in a sporty yet stylish guise. This tenth-generation model is now available in 1.8-litre petrol-CVT trim and 1.6-litre diesel manual. The latter is what many Indians want and is now theirs. Most clients will be looking at the ease of the petrol automatic and the higher fuel economy of the diesel.
The Civic Type R appears like the devil spit on the road, and it moves like a bat out of hell. Its unique turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. With a quick throttle and minimal turbo lag, the eager engine constantly feels alive. The only gearbox option is a six-speed manual with a short throw. The Honda’s smooth clutch action and precision shifter are as in sync as a pair of figure dancers. Unfortunately, the triple-pipe, center-exit exhaust isn’t as loud as the external design.
It’s only marginally unpleasant on bumpy roads or over big bumps, when the 20-inch wheels and low-profile tyres make a lot of noise. During our 2017 test, the Honda pulled 1.02 g’s on our skidpad, which is an incredible performance for any car, never alone one with front-wheel drive. The Type R raised the bar even higher with its 142-foot emergency braking distance (70 mph to zero), which is the same as the $200,000 USDÂ Acura NSX supercar we examined.
