Hulu’s “Hellraiser” reimagines Clive Barker’s legendary 1987 horror picture for current viewers, courtesy to “The Night House” director David Bruckner. The picture releases October 7 as part of the streamer’s annual Huluween programming.
Hellraiser 2022 Synopsis
A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.
About the Trailer
According to the clip, Bruckner will seek to decipher the inner workings of the box, the symbol that permits the Cenobites to be called to our realm from theirs. In a diary, we observe handwritten notes, configurations detailing each turn and pattern of the thing. Odessa A’Zion (Let’s Scare Julie) seems to portray the reboot’s nameless heroine, who is dealing with addiction and obsessed with figuring out what this strange box is and who they are coming to retrieve.
