This campaign is being run ahead of the nation’s 75th Independence Day on August 15th. It comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an emotional appeal on July 22. The campaign’s goal is to connect with the masses and instil a sense of nationalism and patriotism. PM Modi urged everyone to hoist the national flag from their homes in a series of tweets last month.
