Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin Drug test after her partying video got leaked.

After receiving criticism over leaked video footage that showed her dancing and partying with a group of pals, Finland’s prime minister claims she underwent a drug test.

Sanna Marin, 36, said that she submitted to the drug test in response to legislators in the nation asking that she be checked for drugs due to her allegedly “boisterous” behaviour in the video.

In the video, which went viral on Thursday, Marin is one of six individuals dancing and lip-syncing at a private party. The prime minister may be seen dancing while lip-syncing on her knees later in the video.

According to The Guardian, Marin was angry that the film had been released since it was “private and not intended for public consumption.”

She stated, “I feel like footage is being recorded constantly, everywhere, and it doesn’t feel nice. Even everyday items are given a terrible appearance.

Some of Marin’s detractors blasted her actions in the video as inappropriate for a prime minister.

An opposition MP named Mikko Karna tweeted on Thursday that Marin need to undergo drug tests.

According to Twitter’s translation tool, he said, “The people are also permitted to demand this from their prime minister.”

The test findings will be ready in a week, Marin assured reporters when speaking to Finnish media on Friday.

According to The Guardian, she said that she had never used drugs, “not even in my teenage years,” and that she had done the test “for my own legal protection and to dispel any concerns.”

Additionally, Marin said that she did not observe any drug use at the party and that although she drank “moderately” that evening, she was still capable of handling any emergency work-related activities.

“I walked regularly from the restaurant to the car and drove home. The next morning, I awoke feeling normally,” she claimed.

Since the year 2019, Marin has been Finland’s prime minister. At 34 years old, she was the youngest candidate ever chosen for the position in Finnish history when she entered office.

It goes without saying that Marin has a good time. She has come under fire for her partying in the past and is frequently photographed at music festivals. In December, she issued an apology after going out clubbing until 4 a.m. without her work phone and failing to be alerted that she had been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Her test results were negative.

However, many have argued that dancing and having fun are not prohibited, and many have agreed with Marin that the film is unimportant.
Politicians from the prime minister’s rival party, however, argue that rather than partying, the prime minister should concentrate on pressing domestic issues. Marin has previously stated that despite her employment, she will have a personal life.

Antti Lindtman, the leader of the Social Democratic Party’s parliamentary group, told the media that he “can’t see any serious problem with dancing at a private gathering with friends,” lending Marin the support of the group.

Marin, who was appointed in 2019 at the age of 34, has already come under fire for activities that took place in her official apartment.

She received harsh criticism in December 2021 after it was discovered that she had continued dancing into the early hours while being exposed to Covid-19.

Two-thirds of respondents in a poll conducted at the time by Finnish TV station MTV3 said her night out was a “major error.”
