Cristiano Ronaldo wins the Best Scorer Award at the 2022 Quinas de Ouro Gala

Cristiano Ronaldo declares that he will continue to break all possible records.

Cristiano Ronaldo was named Best Scorer at the 2022 Gala Quinas de Ouro in Portugal. Later, the star footballer took to social media to thank his teammates, coaches, family, friends, and fans.

With 117 goals in 189 appearances, the 37-year-old is Portugal’s all-time leading scorer. The Portuguese Football Federation hosted the ceremony.

“Proud to win the award for the best national scorer for the country that I love!” said Ronaldo, who led Portugal to Euro 2016 glory and will captain his national team at the World Cup in Qatar.

“I’d like to thank all of my teammates, coaches, family, friends, and fans for helping me achieve this incredible feat!” We will continue to break all possible records together! “Thank you,” Ronaldo said in an Instagram message.

The veteran striker also gave an acceptance speech, thanking everyone for their support throughout his career.

“I am honoured to receive such a prestigious award. I never imagined I’d be able to do it one day “According to Ronaldo.

“I’d like to thank everyone who was influential in my career. It’s been a long road, but I’d like to say that it’s not over yet.”

Ronaldo also stated that he hopes to outperform his international career.

“I’m hoping to stay with the Federation for a few more years. I’m still motivated, and my ambition is high. My time with the national team is far from over. We have a lot of talented young people. I’ll be at the World Cup, and I’d like to compete in the European Championship in 2024.”

Ronaldo scored his first goal for Manchester United this season. In the Europa League match against Sheriff Tiraspol, the goal was scored on a penalty.

Ronaldo trained with his Portugal teammates ahead of Saturday’s UEFA Nations League match against Czech Republic.
