Tribute to Dani Alves during the match
The defender left Camp Nou this summer, but he was given a final send-off as a visitor on Sunday.
Barcelona organised a touching tribute to Dani Alves ahead of their Joan Gamper Trophy match against Pumas on Sunday. Alves’ second stint at Camp Nou ended this summer, with Barcelona failing to extend his six-month contract beyond the end of the season.
The right-back admitted he was disappointed to leave the club at the time, but he has since signed a one-year contract with Mexican club Pumas.
Alves was honoured for his lengthy service at Barcelona, which included six La Liga titles and three Champions League victories, prior to the two teams meeting in the annual Joan Gamper trophy.
