Akshay Kumar reacts to boycott trend of his upcoming movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’

Akshay Kumar gave his reaction on twitter by twitting “If you don’t feel like watching the movie, then don’t,” to break the controversies of Boycott trend of his next movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’.

A section of the Internet is excited with the boycott trend these days, ahead of two major Bollywood film releases. First, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha was the unwilling center of the boycott trend. The reason for the boycott was Aamir Khan’s 2015 interview in which he stated that his ex-filmmaker wife Kiran Rao suggested they move countries due to “growing intolerance.”

Darlings, Alia Bhatt’s recently released film, was also added to the boycott list on Twitter after some users claimed that the film mocked domestic abuse victims (which was not the case). After Internet users discovered the film’s writer Kanika Dhillon’s four-year-old tweets, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan became the target of a boycott trend.

Akshay respond on boycott trend of movie Raksha Bandhan

According to news agency PTI, Akshay Kumar responded to the boycott trend during Raksha Bandhan promotions at an event. According to Akshay Kumar, “If you don’t want to watch the movie, don’t. It’s a free country, and the film is available, so whether or not someone wants to watch it is entirely up to them. I’d like to tell you that no matter what industry you’re in, whether it’s the clothing industry, the film industry, or anything else, it all helps the economy. But boycotting movies, for example, makes no sense “According to PTI.

This year, Akshay Kumar appeared in two films: Prithviraj and Bachchhan Paandey. The actor has a packed schedule ahead of him. He will appear in the films Ram Setu, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Selfiee. Raksha Bandhan will be released on the same day as Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, a Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ iconic Forrest Gump. Both films will be released in theatres on August 11.
